Pedigrees
Pedigrees are a passion of mine.  So much so that I’ve purchased all of the American Kennel Club Collie records back to 1884, the first year a stud book register was published.  I’m currently working on obtaining the early British records which will help in my research of historical pedigrees.

I will research your collie’s pedigree, and email it to you in .html format.  You can then print as many copies as you wish.  There is an additional charge if you need me to mail a hard copy.

Colors, Titles, Reg. #s throughout, wherever possible. Coat types (rough/smooth) provided on AKC champions of record when available.  I can also provide you with an alphabetical listing of ancestors & some statistical information. i.e., how many times a certain ancestor is found on the dams side, the sires side, what the animals correct inbreeding co-efficient is, et al. Pedigree Books

Another way I fund my pedigree “habit” is by compiling pedigrees into book format. 

 

CCA BOB – 47 Pedigrees ($45.00) All Best of Breed winners at the Collie Club of America National Specialty from 1950 - 2000

ROM Dam’s — 34 Rough, 57 Smooth = 91 Pedigrees ($90.00) through 2001 (Now only available on CD)

ROM Sire’s – 39 Rough, 6 Smooth = 45 Pedigrees ($45.00) through 2001

Pillar ROM Sire’s & Dams — 57 Sires and 21 Dams = 78 Pedigrees ($85.00 w/ champions in color or $50.00 B&W)

AKC Collie Champions 2001 – 194 Rough and 198 Smooth = 392 Pedigrees ($50.00).  This book is only available on CD in .html format

AKC Collie Champions 2002 – 207 Rough and 189 Smooth = 396 Pedigrees ($50.00).  This book is only available on CD in .html format

AKC Collie Champions 2003 – 239 Rough and 207 Smooth = 446 Pedigrees ($50.00).  This book is only available on CD in .html format

Best in Show Collies from 1970 to 2003 – 109 Pedigrees ($35.00 on CD in .html format or $60.00 printed).  This is a book of all the Collies that have gone best in show from the year 1970 to the year 2003. 

 

The pedigrees are 4-generations on one page.  All champions are in red (unless you purchase a black & white copy of the Pillar book).  The information includes the AKC number, stud book date, color, date of birth, and variety (when known).  Breeders and owners are provided in all books except BOB and Pillar.

I’m particularly proud of the Pillar book.  Some of these Pillar Sires & Dams trace back to collies that were from the mid 1880’s.  Now their pedigrees are in a permanent record, which was not previously the case. I must thank Dareen Bridge of Emmismore Collies in the UK for her extensive help with this book.
